So, I really can't pick one moment, because there have been so many great ones, but that one scene at the end of "Vincent and the Doctor" will always have a special place in my heart, just because it is so nice and pretty and the ending is really happy. Amy wishing that Vincent hadn't ended his life is so sweet, and everything the Doctor says is right.
I’m always nice to you.
(of course I can't find a gif of the scene, so this will simply have to do.)

For [info]womenlovefest.

It's super hard to pick a favorite Amy episode, just because she's so awesome in all of them (or, most of them), but I think I'm going to have to go with "The Eleventh Hour", just because it's such a great intro to Amy and this new doctor, and really makes us care about this new girl even though we hardly know. Also, the hair.

I will never get over her hair in this episode.

It's the first day of [info]womenlovefest; Yay! It's time to spend the week posting about one of my favorite ladies, Amy Pond, and I thought I'd start off by citing my favorite Amy quote:

"When I was a kid I had an imaginary friend. The Raggedy Doctor. My Raggedy Doctor. But he wasn't imaginary. He was real. I remember you. I remember! I brought the others back, I can bring you home too. Raggedy Man, I remember you and you are late for my wedding! I found you. I found you with words like you knew I would. That's why you told me the story. The brand new ancient blue box. Oh clever. Very clever. Something old. Something new. Something borrowed. Something blue." - Amy Pond, The Big Bang

Just wanted to let everyone know that I'll be on a mini hiatus from now until the 13th, as I'll be away on vacation and will have limited acess. If you contact me in any form, you'll likely get no reply until I get back.

Have a lovely week, everyone :)

Friends Cut

As I've never done a friends-cut, this is somewhat overdue, especially since I've had this journal for a couple years now and fandoms have changed (correction: I've gone from It's cool to have a variety of interests to PARKS PARKS PARKS PARKS PARKS!) Getting cut could have anything to do with not having fandoms in common to a lack of posting, and yes, it's quite possible that I originally friended you and didn't make the proper effort to keep the friendship alive, and if that is your case, I'm really, really sorry.

If you can see this post, you have not been cut. For the rest of you, I am truly sorry it didn't work out, and if you feel like you were accidentally cut or want to try and make things work, please comment.

On an unrelated notes, I've started that Leslie/Ben multi-chapter fic I was talking about, which you can find here.

in the shadow of your heart.
doctor who. amy/eleven. pg. 551 words.

when amy pond is seven years old, she’s visited by a strange man who opens her eyes to a world she hardly believes. it’s the beginning of the end.
a/n: so, aside from this, i've never written any doctor who fic, so try and go easy on me. i think it's a bit too pretentious, but that might just be me. inspired by the florence and the machine song "cosmic love".
i don’t own anything.

A falling star fell from your heart and landed in my eyes  )

Title: Man Your Guns, Save the Parks Lady
Author: quick_ly
Fandom: Parks and Recreation
Pairing: Leslie/Ben
Rating: PG-13
Summary: There are few people Ben would trust his life with more then Leslie Knope, but the whole end of the world theme is starting to freak him out a little
Disclaimer: I do not own Parks and Rec.
A/N: Written for Hiatus Fest 2011 over at [info]leslie_ben for the bonus challenge, Apocafic! Really, Parks and Rec plus zombies always equals fun times, so how exactly was I supposed to resistance?

according to Leslie, seventy-five percent of intercity invasions are due to zombie attacks )
